Jeremiah 9:23,24 - This is what the Lord says: Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength, or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that they understand and know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth for in these I delight, declares the Lord.

That doesn't sound very humble at all. Who boasts that they "understand and know" God better? Pricks? To be fair, I hear your God likes pricks as much as anyone else. [That came out sounding gayer than expected]

Ginx,
Its a case of do as I say not as I do like most silly stuff in the bible.

Makarios:
your header says:
"No one is so good that forgiveness isn't needed. No one is so evil that forgiveness isn't offered."

That's all fine unless you think about it and realise there is no such thing as good and evil.

There are only motives, actions and reactions.

Good and evil are just terms used to vastly oversimplify very complex situations events and motives.

For example, many think that Adolph Hitler was "evil" when in fact he was mentally ill. If he had received the correct treatment as a child or juvenile then none of the terrible events that happened in WWII would have been caused by his politics.

Unfortunately back then we did not have the knowledge regarding mental disorder that we do now.

Hitler was as evil as the rest of us. But at least he was doing God's work.
Ginx, Keith read the Bible and repent.
