So Says the Relativist

“I’m going to try to persuade you to accept my belief, that you should not try to persuade others to accept your beliefs, because doing that is absolutely wrong.”

Why does the relativist do this? Because s/he believes that h/her beliefs are correct and yours are wrong. Such is the rationale, logic and reasoning of the atheist.

Killing of a woman, a shudra or an atheist is not sinful. Woman is an embodiment of the worst desires, hatred, deceit, jealously and bad character. Women should never be given freedom”. Bhagvad Gita (Manu 1X. 17 and V.47, 147). ...

The Lawaard Loves Stupid People

That line was written by some atheist who found it quite amusing.

Unlike most of the people of the world, especially those who worship education and intelligence, God does love stupid people. I remember telling some atheist that God loves morons. His response? “That’s disgusting.” My response? “One of my children nearly falls into that category. It didn’t faze him a bit. He was a social Darwinist and anything or anyone who weakened the gene pool were, well, disgusting in his eyes.

Anyhow, it’s not so much that God loves only stupid people, it’s just that stupid people, down and outers, prostitutes, criminals, those on the edge of society and those generally rejected and ignored by intelligent people are much, much more receptive to the offer of love that Creator God gives to all people. And while the offer of Love and forgiveness is out there for all people, it’s significantly more difficult for intelligent people, wealthy people, educated, powerful and beautiful people to recognise their need for love and forgiveness.

Jesus told a story of a King who prepared an extravagant banquet. The best and only the best was on offer. According to the world’s standards, only the important people were invited. People like Dawkins and his crowd, Bill Gates and his crowd, Nobel Prize winners, movie stars and all the atheists who push their propaganda on-line were invited to this awesome honour and privilege.

None of them came. All of them rejected the invitation. In fact, they acted as though no such invitation had ever been given.

So the King sent out his servants to the byways and alleyways, to the bars and slums and the halfway houses. The servants went to all the nations of the world and brought in people from “every nation, tribe and tongue.” The banquet hall was filled to capacity and as it's decribed in Revelation, the number of those who accepted His offer is so great it's impossible to count.

While it may appear that God only loves stupid people, in reality, many are invited but only a few are chosen.

The Original Scotsman

Atheists love to point out when Christians label a visible member of their tribe who’s screwed up by saying, “Well, if s/he did that, s/he was no Christian.” That is pathetic.

On the other hand, it’s often true. Don’t take it from me -

Jesus said, “Not everyone who says to me, “Jesus is my Lord,” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day,

“Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?”

Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Get away from Me, you evil doer.”

The Law of Logic

Of course most educated people understand that Laws of Logic as well as Laws of Mathematics exist

The Laws of Logic and Mathematics exist regardless of whether humans agree with them

The Laws of Logic and Mathematics existed before anything evolved

The Laws of Logic and Mathematics existed before humans evolved

The Laws of Logic and Mathematics are not formulated or devised

The Laws of Logic and Mathematics are discovered

Where did they come from?

The Laws of Logic and Mathematics, like the exquisitely finely tuned constants and quantities that govern the functioning of our universe, were present at the Singularity, put in prior to Planck time.

How did they get there?

Who did it?

The atheist answer?

Something non intelligent placed intelligence so great it's beyond our imagination into our logical and mathematically precise universe.

Why Won’t You Believe It?

It really is remarkable how atheists, at least the one’s that comment here, pledge their allegiance to the scientific method of knowing and discovering. And that’s good. It’s a fine, fine model for getting answers to natural phenomena. In fact, it’s so good that we can know beyond a reasonable doubt that the Standard Big Bang Model of our universe’s origin is how it happened.

As was noted previously:
It can be said with absolute confidence that no cosmogonic model has been:
As repeatedly verified in its predictions,
As corroborated by attempts at its falsification,
As concordant with empirical discoveries, and
As philosophically coherent as the Standard Big Bang Creation Event Model.

The remarkable part of all this is that these same atheists don’t seem to want to accept this model. So the question becomes - Why? If, as atheists are fond of saying, they're rational, logical, reasonable people, and if the evidence points to the Big Bang Model, why do you reject that model and instead fancy models for which there is ONLY speculation AND for which there is concrete evidence that negates their feasibility?

Why won’t you allow yourself to accept the Big Bang Model of Creation when that's where the evidence points?

Why Can’t It Be Infinite? Conclusion

Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity predicted that the universe cannot be infinite. Along with many other atheist scientists, Einstein found this discovery “Irritating.” To avoid the Creator God implication of a universe with a beginning, Einstein and others like him wanted the universe to be self-existent and not contingent on an external cause. In fact, so disturbing was this finding that Einstein himself fudged his findings to “create” a universe without a beginning. In 1919 another scientist found Einstein’s “error” and the theory of General Relativity was in the books. Even this scientist, atheist Arthur Eddington stated, “Philosophically, the notion of a beginning of the present order of nature is repugnant to me . . . I should like to find a genuine loophole.”
Physicist Philip Morrison - “I find it hard to accept the Big Bang theory. I would like to reject it.”

Others since have vainly attempted to rule out Big Bang cosmology. Their efforts have come to a screeching halt due to the Borde-Guth-Vilinkin Theorem. This proves, far beyond a reasonable doubt, that any expanding universe, be it theoretical like the ones mentioned in Part V, or real (like ours) must have a definitive space / time boundary, a point of beginning, a singularity, a point of Creation.

Because of clear scientific evidence, we know that:
. It is physically impossible to have an Actual Infinite Series of Things or Events or even moments of Time preceding our today. Nor can we have an Actual Infinite Collection by adding Things or Events or moments of Time one to another to another in order to reach today. This is why we can say with confidence that matter / universe CANNOT be infinite and that they HAVEN’T always existed.

Imagine units of time as individual books filling a book shelf that stretches infinitely into the past. You could imagine an infinitely long street or an infinitely long rope or whatever, but for this example I’ll use a shelf of books. While mathematics is able to deal with abstract or theoretical or conceptual or potential infinities, and while our imagination can create an imaginary shelf of books stretching infinitely into the past, sort of, reality holds no such possibility for us.

Time is not imaginary.
Time is not abstract or theoretical or conceptual.
Time is real.
Time is measured in real units.

In a scenario like this, with the shelf of books (units of time) stretching infinitely into the past you could never actually arrive at the first book. It is impossible to travel through infinite time to reach a starting point from which you could begin your journey to the last book on the shelf or to what we call today. If in order to reach the last book (what we call today), you’d have to have the second to last book, or yesterday. And if, in order to have the second to last book you had to have the third to last book, and in order to have the third to last book you had to have the fourth to last book and so on and so on, you could never reach today because you could never reach the “first” day (book) that made possible the second day which made possible the third day . . .. Since the past is made up of units of real time, in the case of a beginningless past we would have had to pass through or travel through an infinite number of units of time in order to reach today and that is physically impossible. To reach today, we have to have had a starting point, a push point, a point of beginning, a point of first cause. If the past were actually infinite, we could never reach today because the past would simply extend infinitely into the past.

Neither can we, as some have tried to do, arbitrarily pick a set or group or point in real time and begin counting from there. Of course you can do that, but it proves nothing regarding the beginning of the universe.

The fact is, we have reached today so we can know not only that the universe had a beginning, but that time itself had a beginning. Just as a bookshelf stretching infinitely into the past with no beginning would prohibit our reaching the last book on the shelf, neither can there be an infinite regress of CAUSES of the universe, i.e., previous universes. That would also prohibit reaching today’s universe.

. A beginningless Series or Collection of Things or Events in time entails, not a potential but an actual infinite number of Things or Events or moments in Time.

. As we’ve just seen, a beginningless Series of Things or Events or moments in Time that leads to today cannot exist.

. Therefore, in order to reach today, time and the universe had to have a beginning; they had to have a starting point.

. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, proves the universe had a starting point and that matter is not infinite or eternal.

. Expansion of the universe, proves the universe had starting point and that matter is not infinite or eternal.

. Background Cosmic Radiation, proves the universe had a starting point and that matter is not infinite or eternal.

. Cosmic Seeds, proves the universe had a starting point and that matter is not infinite or eternal, and

. The fact that the physical infinite does not exist proves the universe had a starting point and that matter is not infinite or eternal.

All of these lines of evidence emphatically and conclusively point to a definitive space / time boundary, a Big Bang Creation Event.

The question that the atheist needs to honestly ask h/herself is, why won’t I follow the evidence, as a true follower of science would, and accept that the universe, our universe had a beginning, a Singularity, a Big Bang Creation Event? Is it because I’m being forced to accept the only logical and rational conclusion?

. The universe had a beginning

. The beginning of the universe had to have a Cause

. The Cause had to exist external to and prior to space, time and matter.

. Existing outside of time, the Cause is infinite or Eternal,

. Existing outside of matter (which is finite), the Cause is immaterial or Spiritual,

. Existing as the Cause of time and energy, space, matter and the laws of physics, the Cause is immeasurably more powerful than the mathematically precise universe and its exquisitely Finely Tuned constants and quantities.

. The Cause cannot be “scientific” because neither matter nor the laws of physics (i.e., the laws that science has observed and identified), existed prior to the Singularity.

. Therefore the Cause of the beginning of the universe is not scientific but Personal.

. The transcendent Cause of the universe is therefore on the order of a Mind.

. That Cause is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.

. That Cause, is what is normally described as The Greatest Conceivable Being or Creator God.

I Found This Blog

I found this blog with 100 atheist quotes. Here is one of them.

If God were suddenly condemned to live the life which He has inflicted upon men, He would kill Himself. – Alexandre Dumas

In 58 years of living, I doubt that I've ever heard any statement so glaringly ignorant as that one. God volunteered to live this life. One of the things that God was proving is that no one is exempt from God’s plan to use suffering as a means to an end; not even God Himself. Jesus, our example and character goal, came to earth knowing in advance that He would be abused, misunderstood, mistreated, rejected, insulted, betrayed and ultimately have humanity do our absolute worst to Him. God, in the form of Jesus, came to earth with the expressed purpose of experiencing His own wrath as is required by the nature of sin, “For the wages of sin, the consequences of sin, the result of sin is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. God came to earth to show that He does not exist outside of this plan that seems so difficult for us to accept. God came to earth to rescue us from our stupid decision to try to live our lives without Him. He came to give us a second chance at paradise.

Why Can’t It Be Infinite? V

We’ve already seen that the:
2nd Law of Thermodynamics, the
Expansion of the universe,
Background Cosmic Radiation, and
Cosmic Seeds, emphatically and conclusively point to a definitive space / time boundary, a Big Bang Creation Event.

We can’t of course leave out Einstein’s theory of General Relativity. This is the fifth separate and irrefutable line of evidence pointing to the fact of a Big Bang Creation Event. And yet, I know from experience, that because all of this points to a Supernatural Creator of the universe, atheists will ignore the very science they claim to worship and state a supposition that completely contradicts the evidence. That’s what a commitment to any world-view does to a person. It produces huge blind-spots that prevent us from following the evidence. Now, atheists will tell you that this evidence does not point to a Supernatural Cause of the universe. We must ask then, if this doesn't point to a Supernatural Cause, why in the world would you reject a hypothesis that absolutely fits the evidence and cling to something for which there is no evidence and only speculation? Worse there is evidence showing that these speculations are not workable and yet atheists, including the ones who reply here find them more palatable than the Standard Model. It doesn't make any sense unless, UNLESS the Big Bang does indeed point to Creator God.

Nevertheless, the theory of General Relativity nails shut the coffin of the Steady State model. Combined with the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, the Expansion of the universe, the presence of Background Cosmic Radiation, Cosmic Seeds of Galaxies, and the proof of the Borde-Guth-Vilenkin Theorem, all these evidences nail shut the coffin on these theories as well.

It has been found by science that each and every one of these theories require a definitive space / time boundary, and beginning, a singularity and Big Bang Creation Event.

Again, Einstein’s model forces us to accept that at one point, matter, space and time did not exist. They are not eternal, nor are they infinite in nature. Each and every one of them had to have had a beginning.

None of them existed until all of them existed - Period!

It is Einstein’s theory that predicted all of the other lines of evidence that I’ve mentioned. However there is one more line of evidence that seems to trip up atheists every time they think about it. That is the fact that the physical infinite does not and indeed cannot exist. I’ll deal with this in the next and final post on the subject.

Did I Say That?

Salvage has accused me of using the No True Scotsman defence when describing people who do evil in the name of Jesus. That’s not so. All I said was, “Show me someone who calls himself a Christian, and who is doing harm to others and I’ll show you Chapter and Verse how s/he is not following the One s/he claims to be following. I have no better example than myself.

Once again, as I have done so many times in the past, I’m off the rails. While my words may be the same as always, my motives in what I post have turned back to pure confrontation. Jab - Jab - swing. Here’s what’s scary about that.

Paul, later one of Christianity’s greatest missionaries began his encounters with Christians by torturing and killing them. We don’t know how many he is responsible for killing but we do know that he was good at it. There’s nothing quite like an enthusiastic torturer. And there's nothing quite like religious zeal to ignite enthusiasm. And then, as Paul was on his way to bring back to Jerusalem yet another group of traitors to his faith, he was met by Jesus who said to him,

“Paul, why are you persecuting Me?”

Persecuting? Paul thought he was doing God a favour! It was no different for those who carried out the Inquisitions and Crusades. It's no different with me. All of us, at one time or another lose our focus. All of us forget that it is sin, and not the sinner who is our enemy.

And God said to Paul, “Stop persecuting Me.” To be fair, Paul didn't know who Jesus was. He had no idea that "God was in Jesus, reconciling the world to Himself." In his mind, Paul was defending the truth of God, defending against blasphemy no less, and God said to Paul that He - God - was on the side of those that Paul was trying to silence.

I fear that I’ve been doing the same thing. We are living in the age of Grace. To be sure, the time of Judgement is coming. But now is the time of salvation. Now is the time of God’s favour to all sinners everywhere. My attitude toward atheists, my enthusiasm to prove them wrong has once again slipped into the nasty. I’m mimicking Paul in his pre conversion days and I want to say that I’m wrong and I’m sorry.

God’s attitude toward sinners, all sinners, atheists included is one of mercy, grace, patience, gentleness and longing for a healed and forgiven relationship.

God is recorded as saying, "I take no delight in the death of the wicked. I long for you to turn from your sin and be healed." It is also recorded in John 3:17 -

“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”

Until the day of Jesus’ return, God is on the side of atheists. And here I am, fighting against the very One I claim to represent. I’m taunting and mocking those God loves. Ah, me, I can be such a screw-up. Again, I’m sorry. I was wrong.

Hopefully the tone of my posts will reflect a change that you can notice. Or not. After all, any criticism regardless of motive and tone, stings. Hopefully a change in motive on this end will translate into less harsh tone to the posts that you receive.

Why Can’t It Be Infinite? IV

We’ve already seen that the:
2nd Law of Thermodynamics, and
Expansion of the universe, and
Background Cosmic Radiation emphatically and conclusively point to a definitive space / time boundary, a Big Bang Creation Event.

It's been proven beyond a reasonable doubt that none of the speculative theories, dreamed up to avoid a beginning are workable. Still atheists persist in saying things like, "Well I like the Black Hole Hypothesis," or "I think the Parallel Universe theory works." They don't work. They can't work. They been conclusively proven to be unworkable. Any theory that is dealing with an expanding universe must have a Big Bang type of Singularity. It's a fact. Yet the atheist persists in hoping against hope that it's not true. For if the universe had a cause, then atheism is not true.

Something else that Big Bang cosmology predicted, was that IF there really had been a singularity there should be “ripples” in the temperature of the background radiation. These ripples would resemble the prints on the tips of your fingers. It’s these ripples that allowed our cosmos to form, to congeal into galaxies.

NASA sent into space what was called the Cosmic Background Explorer or COBE. And what did it find? These ripples were exactly as Big Bang cosmology predicted they would be. In referring to this discovery, Hawking stated, “[This is] the most important discovery of the century, if not of all time.” Astrophysicist Michael Turner, “The significance of this discovery cannot be overstated. They have found the Holy Grail of Cosmology.” Astronomer George Smoot, “These ripples are like looking at the finger prints of God.”

So precise were these ripples and their temperature predictions, this is what Stephen Hawking was referring to when he said that the chances of our universe coming into being by accident to be 1 chance in 10 ^ 1,230. If they had been off in either direction by an infinitesimal degree, neither we nor the universe would be here.

Atheists will look at that and then tell you that large numbers don’t really mean anything. What else can they say? Don’t believe them. This is an astounding, incomprehensible number. In fact, scientists place the term “impossible” on any probability greater than 10 ^ 50. The creation of our universe was not an accident. Again, Smoot, “[these ripples are] the machining marks from the creation of the universe.”

Because we are looking at something that took place 14 billion years ago, scientists call these ripples, “the seeds of the universe.” These seeds are the largest structures ever detected, with the largest extending across 10 billion light years. That’s a third of the known universe.

If the universe had not had a singularity, if it had not come from a Big Bang Creation Event, these Galaxy Seeds or fingerprints would not exist.

This is yet one more reason why the universe cannot be infinite.

"Eugenic sterilization is an urgent need . We must prevent multiplication of this bad stock." atheist Margaret Sanger, Birth Control Review.

Honest / Dishonest; Safe / Unsafe

- The most dangerous Christian is the dishonest Christian; the one who's doing evil in the name of Jesus. Fortunately the things he does can be clearly shown to go against the very teachings of the One he claims to follow.

- The most dangerous atheist is the honest atheist; the Atheist who lives out the logical conclusions of the absurd, meaningless existence of atheism. Eg. Atheist high-school killers, Fascist / Social Darwinist Governments, Serial killers like Jeffrey Dahmer and atheist philosophers like Peter Singer

- The safest Christian is the honest Christian who lives by the teaching and example of the One he claims to follow, Jesus the Christ

- The safest atheist is the dishonest atheist who attributes meaning and morals to his life by following the teaching and example of Jesus the Christ.

Atheist Views

"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."
Atheist Margaret Sanger, founder and role model of Planned Parenthood - from Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I, Number 1. Reprinted in Woman and the New Race. New York: Brentanos Publishers.

Why Can’t It Be Infinite? III

One of the beautiful things about scientific theories, theories not based upon speculation but upon what we already know is that they can be tested. We can look for confirming evidence and in some cases discover their logical conclusions.

We’ve already seen that the:
2nd Law of Thermodynamics and
Expansion of the universe point to a definitive space / time boundary, a Big Bang Creation Event.

Something else that scientists would expect to find, IF there had been such a singularity is Background Radiation. In 1965 Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson discovered the afterglow of the biggest explosion of all time, the Big Bang. They discovered exactly what science has predicted should be there if there had indeed been a Creation Event.

Cosmic Background Radiation is really remnants of the heat and light left over from the singularity. While the light is no longer visible, the heat, in the form of radiation CAN be detected.

Robert Jastrow:
“No explanation other than the Big Bang has been found for the fireball radiation. The clincher, which has convinced almost the last Doubting Thomas (not atheists but they’re a different case altogether), is that the radiation discovered by Penzias and Wilson has exactly the pattern of wavelengths expected for the light and heat produced in a great explosion. Supporters of the steady state theory (atheists to a person) have tried desperately to find an alternative explanation, but they have failed. At the present time, the Big Bang theory has no competitors.” (insertion in brackets mine)

In a Court Room a single line of evidence is powerful. Add a second line of confirming evidence and plea bargaining would ensure that the case never makes it to Court. Add a third line of evidence and the guy wouldn’t be able to find a defence lawyer to take his case. That’s what we have so far. Regardless, faith in atheism forces individuals to cling to, well, to cling to nothing, literally.

We know from science that whatever begins to exist has an explanation of its existence either in the Necessity of its being (it can’t NOT exist) or in an external cause. We know that the universe is not necessary so it must have been caused by something external to itself. After all, no one would be so foolish as to say that the universe created itself or that it pre existed itself. Well, there is one group that is willing to say that, but . . .

According to atheism the universe doesn’t have an explanation of its existence. They say that “It just happened.” Over a dozen theories and over a dozen more variations on those theories have come and gone in a vain attempt to rule out a definite beginning for our universe and thus do away with the implication that a Supernatural God brought about this beginning. Despite the current scientific knowledge described above, atheists persist in stating that either matter has always existed (impossible) or that matter created itself (also impossible). Why do they do this? Because >

. If there is an explanation of the universe’s existence, then atheism is not true. And that is because the only explanation that fits the evidence of how and why the universe came into being is Creator God. That is why Richard Dawkins himself has lately admitted that a good case could be made for the existence of a Deistic God. Actually, I believe that some day there won’t be any atheists. There will be people for God and people against God but there won’t be anyone who believes that God doesn’t exist. And, irony of ironies it will be science that will prove the existence of God.

. Because of overwhelming scientific evidence, most atheists do grudgingly admit that the universe did indeed have a beginning. Unfortunately for atheists, it can be said with absolute confidence that no cosmogonic model has been:
As repeatedly verified in its predictions,
As corroborated by attempts at its falsification,
As concordant with empirical discoveries, and
As philosophically coherent as the Standard Big Bang Creation Event Model.

Hence, most atheists are implicitly committed to God being the explanation of why the universe came into existence.

Why Can’t It Be Infinite? II

No matter how many times you explain to atheists that Big Bang cosmology points to a singularity that brought into existence space, time and matter itself, the metaphysical implications of such an event causes atheists to ask, ad nauseam, “Why can’t matter be infinite?”

Well, yesterday I showed that the Second Law of Thermodynamics closes the door on that option. Today I want to look at another fact that points to our universe having a finite beginning.

Remember the watch analogy from yesterday? If a watch is winding down, that means that it was once wound up? It’s the same principle here. If the universe is rushing outwards, if space itself is expanding outwards, that means that at one time it came FROM the opposite direction. The expansion of the universe, like the Second Law of Thermodynamics is an established fact. There is no disputing it. But what does this expansion mean?

It means that at some point in the finite past, the universe had a beginning. That means that if we could watch this expansion in reverse, logically and mathematically we would reach a time when there wasn’t any space, time or matter. There was NOTHING.

As we all know, not everyone on the internet presents themselves as they actually are. Yes it’s true. Some people lie. A couple days ago, I was talking to an atheist who presents himself as a nuclear physicist. The nuclear physicist business must be kinda slow because right now he’s tutoring kids on the computer. Anyhow, this guy tried to get away with saying on his blog that prior to the singularity, the universe was a tiny, tiny speck that weighed around twenty pounds. Readers of his blog were actually letting him get away with this. They were believing it because, well, atheists don’t need God in order to be moral people who wouldn’t lie. When I asked him, “So where was this tiny speck of matter?” he answered, “Well, “it’s kind of complicated, but there must have been just a tiny bit of space around it.”

O Lord, what are we going to do with the genius of atheism?

In reality, at one point there was literally nothing -
No Space,
No Time,
No Matter.
Nothing.
And then there was everything.

All scientific evidence in this area, all observable and mathematical evidence in this area confirms this fact. Atheists hate this fact and for good reason. The law of cause and effect disallows the only alternative available to those who deny the Supernatural. That alternative to which atheists must cling says,

“Everything came from nothing without a cause. It just happened.”

Science at its base is the search for Cause. Yet atheists are forced to deny this. Nothing means No Thing. Atheists would have you believe that No Thing, took No Thing and made Every Thing.

Again, and contrary to what atheists would have you believe, it is undeniable that everything had literally nothing from which to come. No space, no time, no matter.

author Anthony Kenny:
“According to the Big Bang Theory the whole matter of the universe began to exist at a particular time in the remote past. A proponent of such a theory, at least if he is an atheist, must believe that the matter of the universe came from nothing and by nothing.”

It’s preposterous and absurd to maintain one’s faith in atheism.
Matter is not infinite.
Matter had a beginning.
Matter had a Cause.

"Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race."
atheist Margaret Sanger. Woman, Morality, and Birth Control. New York: New York Publishing Company.

Why Can’t It Be Infiite?

There’s a lot of evidence, a lot of compelling evidence that shows that the universe in its present form or any previous form could not have existed from eternity past, or from infinity past. Our universe points to a beginning, a singularity, a definitive space / time boundary, a Big Bang Creation Event. So clearly does our mathematically precise universe point to a finite beginning that any of the dozens of alternative theories (meant to do away with a beginning) simply can't refute the evidence. Every theory so far proposed also requires a definitive space / time boundary and thus fails in its attempt to do away with the need for a Cause, a Cause that existed outside of and prior to the creation of space, time and matter.

This evidence just ricochets off of atheist brains like bullets bouncing off of Superman's chest. You can present this evidence to a single atheist a thousand times (I think I’m close to that marker) and it doesn’t even make a dent. Nothing. They’ll just ask over and over and over, “But why can’t matter have existed forever?” Talking to atheists about this is almost as amusing as noticing that while bullets bounce off of Superman, he ducks and weaves to avoid being hit by a gun that's been thrown at him.

Once piece of evidence that points to a finite beginning is the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

Atheist Astronomer Arthur Eddington:
“ The Law that entropy increases - the Second Law of Thermodynamics - holds, I think, the supreme position among the laws of Nature. If someone points out to you that your pet theory of the universe is in disagreement with Maxwell’s equations - then so much for Maxwell’s equations. If it is found to be contradicted by observation - well, these experiments do bungle things sometimes. But if your theory is found to be against the Second Law of Thermodynamics I can give you no hope; there is nothing for it but to collapse in deepest humiliation.”

Ah, me. Because the only antidote to a Supernatural Cause for the beginning of the universe is matter existing from infinity, well, atheists know no such humiliation. They just repeat the mantra, "Matter must be eternal. Matter must be eternal." Anything, even space aliens is a more acceptable idea to atheists than the universe requiring a Supernatural Cause for its beginning.

Nevertheless, a beginning IS what the universe had and that beginning requires a Cause. It requires a Cause that existed outside of and prior to matter, space and time and the laws of physics.

The beauty of the second law is that it’s so simple for average people like me to understand. The Second Law of Thermodynamics is also called the Law of Entropy which is a way of saying that nature tends to bring things from order to disorder. Obviously, if we are moving from order to disorder, and if the universe was infinitely old, the universe would already be dead and in complete disorder and complete decay. The universe would be cold and dark. Science knows that we’re moving in that direction but it also knows that we’re a long, long, very long way from the end. Atheist Astronomer Robert Jastrow compares our universe to a wind-up clock. "The fact that it’s winding down proves that at some point, someone wound it up."

Our universe is like a vehicle that began with a full tank of gas / energy. While you’re driving around the energy is simply being converted to another form of matter. However, the very fact that you’re still driving around shows that your journey began a finite time ago - otherwise you’d be out of fuel. As with a flashlight, the lights in the universe were not turned on an infinite amount of time ago. They are still glowing strong and clear signalling to us, that while it’s obvious Someone flipped the switch, He did it just a relatively short time ago.

One life to live:

“I’ve just got this one life on earth to live, you know. That’s why it's precious to me.” That’s what atheists say as though they’re making some kind of profound announcement.

Well, I guess this comes as a surprise to atheists but, this is the only life on earth that any and all of us are going to get. “We are destined to die once, and then judgement.” That’s why I and other Christians take this life very seriously as well. I would suggest that we take it even more seriously because we believe that what we do with this life on earth determines how we'll spend eternity in the next dimension.

So Says the Atheist

“I don’t see your God as being a God of love.” So says the atheist. Well duh!

That’s like saying that you don’t see a car you’ve never driven to be easy to handle. You don’t see an orange you’ve never eaten to be sweet and juicy. You’ve never been married and you don’t see it as a challenge.

Of course you only comprehend the justice side of God. You’re an atheist. You stand and live and exist under the judgement of God, guilty as charged.

It doesn’t need to be this way. God longs to shower you with love and mercy and grace and forgiveness and eternity in perfect peace. Only you can prevent that from happening.
