Exekiel 33:11 - As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live.

That sounds like a sneaky caveat to me, "As surely as I live..."

If all things that live must die, it stands to reason that God is not alive in the traditional sense. Perhaps this means God was laughing his ass off when Ted Kennedy died.

Where do you have proof of that?
Creator God is an eternal being. Jesus said, "Before Abraham was, I AM." Certainly all physical things seem to die, but God is Spirit.
