Haha, ya Dan from debunking atheists is a "good", especially the conversation we're having in the comment section...

I realized recently that a few people have been writing on his blog for more than one year, I won't last that long ;)

Same here I guess, as Makarios refuses to answer a simple questions as "Do you think it's possible for Earth to be around 6,000 years old?"; why bother having a discussion in that case...

He doesn't want to answer that question because the answer will be either embarrassing or leave the door open to "which parts of the bible are literal?"-type questions.
Which is why people should ask it.

Gorth? Could ou please cite for me chapter and verse in which the Bible states how old the earth is?

When he comes back ask if he believes the Earth was created in six 24 hour periods (days).
It's just as stupid.

I like Answers in Genesis...

We have seen that Ussher had logical and historically valid reasons for arriving at the year... These were not wild guesses of some illiterate bishop counting on his fingers and toes, .... When we defer to the Bible as our authoritative basis for the areas on which it touches, it will prove itself without fail.

As the Scripture states: let God be true but every man a liar (Romans 3:4)
.

To paraphrase: either the world is 6000 years old or God is a liar. LOL
