Did You Know?

Every couple years we take the kids to the West Edmonton Mall for two or three days. While the kids have a blast I've always felt like we were missing out on something because we'd never been to the "Biggest" mall in the world - The Mall of America.

Well, I just found out that West Ed. IS the biggest shopping mall in the world. It has the biggest indoor amusement park. The biggest indoor water park (25 water slides), the biggest indoor bungee jump, the biggest indoor three loop roller-coaster (just two inches shorter than the Statue of Liberty, and the most stores indoor anywhere in the world.

All this time I was having as much fun as a person can have and I didn't even appreciate it. Well, we're going again this summer and the motto will be - No Regrets! Although, my son just got back from visiting in-laws in Minnesota and he said Lego Land in The Mall of America is pretty awesome.

Now if I can just go see the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota.

Isn't that always the case? Believing there's something better out there, even though what we have is pretty damn good... unless you're one of the billions of people living in abject poverty. But still, it's pretty true for Westerners who own a computer and have internet access.

Yep, pretty true.

The biggest ball of twine? How big is it? Why does Minnesota get all the good stuff?

Well, I don't exactly know how big it is. But if Weird Al Yankovic wrote a song about it, it's got to be pretty big I'd think. Certainly big enough to drive for thirty hours to go see.
