I Did It MY Way

Every few weeks or months we hear how DNA has proven that yet another individual should have never been convicted and sent to prison. We watch on tv as this person leaves prison to the cheers of family and friends. What would we think if someone who had been exonerated refused to leave his cell? What if someone who was told he could go home said, "I'd rather remain in prison?"

Atheists too have been set free. Their sentence has been commuted. However, instead of taking a chance on freedom, they sit in their cell and complain how they don't like the way their lawyer went about setting them free. Feeling secure and in control with anger and bitterness toward a God that they believe is going to torture them forever and ever, atheists turn their back on freedom. Instead of roaming through life, free to choose peace and love, they squat on their metal toilet and stare at the bars they refuse to leave behind.

But hey, at least they’ll be able to stand in hell and sing with Sinatra,
“I Did It My Way.”

Ridiculous....atheist are the ones who are free. Believers carry the yoke of organized religion. Religions that judge and divide people, rob them of their money, subjugate their women.
The clergy, one and all, are con-artists in my book.

'Atheists too have been set free'

Set free from the mental opression of a bronze age myth.

'Feeling secure and in control with anger and bitterness toward a God that they believe is going to torture them forever and ever, atheists turn their back on freedom.'

If atheists beleived in a god they wouldn't be atheists. Not all athiests are angry and bitter. Just like not all Christians are bitter and angry. Of course some are. They're just people.

Ya, well, then saying that 1.6% of the American population is atheist is of by about 1%.
