Abdel Baset al-Megrahi,

(CNN) Convicted Lockerbie bomber Abdel Baset al-Megrahi, earlier said to be dying of cancer by Scottish officials, was seen yesterday looking anything but near death. Surprising to most, al-Megrahi was not heading for palliative care in Lybia. Instead he was seen running through the Mediterranean surf with none other than Kate Gosslin.

“I’m outraged by all of this,” snorted Jon Gosslin, estranged husband of Kate. Pushing back what looked to be an 18 year old wanna be model who was licking his ear, Jon whined, "It’s her week to be with the kids and there she is getting all jacked up with this, this, old Libyan fart.”

“I knew it would come to this,” said a concerned European official who asked to not be named. “It’s not that we gave a damn if Abdel was released. It’s all this publicity that we were trying to avoid. We told Mortimer Gadfly in no uncertain terms, "Take him. He's yours. But by zeus, if you leak a word of this to anyone, once we've used up this 900 billion dollars worth of oil, we might not come back for any more."

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Britain stated that he is going to the same resort as Gosslin and Abdel first thing tomorrow morning to, “Have a sit down with Ms. Gosslin. We need to get the facts straight about just how long they're going to stay on the beach where people can see them. After all, if another crisis in the world doesn’t arise and arise soon, the public is going to see the duplicity on the part of all of us leaders. If that happens, well, oil deals have been lost over less. Before this weekend, something dramatic has to come up so that the public says, "Oh look! A squirrel!" Perhaps Britney Spears will twist an ankle or something.”

Mak, tonight I watched this video and thought of you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvRPbsXBVBo

You are much too bright to believe what you profess to believe. I just can't figure it out ...

I'm sure you can't.

How can you watch a video like that and remain in your bubble? Do you just block out reality, content yourself with preaching to the choir and singing yourself to sleep with "Jesus Loves Me This I Know, For The Bible Tells Me So ..."?

He reminds me too much of myself when I was his age. He reeks of arrogance. "Because I can't understand something no one else can understand it either." That's what he thinks and that's what I thought @ twenty something.

Honestly? It's a good things he's digital and not at my front door. I'd be in jail for aggravated assault within half an hour of talking to that asshole.

I can pray for you if you want. But as you are TAM there is no chance of you "getting it." Like the saying goes, "Reading the Bible without the Holy Spirit is like reading a Sun Dial by a quarter moon."

You know where, in the Bible the revealing of God's Kindgom is described as the peeling back of a curtain? Well, it's the same when God reveals Himself to a person and that person becomes a Christian. Prior to this peeling back, like this ignorant (in the truest sense of the term) clown says, it all seems like mumbo jumbo as ridiculous as it comes.

After responding to God's offer, or revelation, the curtain is pulled back, one's spiritual eyes are opened and meaning that had never been there before is now everywhere.

The reality of Jesus is such to me that to deny His existence would be like saying that I don't have two hands. It can't be done.

I'm sorry. I can't explain it any better than that. And even if I could, it still woudn't make any sense to you.

It also an exaggeration, but you never do that I suppose. You know, that rational atheist and all.

Hmm...so in other words, in order to understand, we need the Holy Spirit to help us out. So in other words, there is no possible way that we could understand without him. Then how is it our fault when we don't believe? Obviously he's either a) not helping us out at all or b) not doing a good enough job convincing us. I think an omniscient God would know exactly what it would take to convince me, right? So why doesn't he just do that thing and avoid this whole mess? Seems a little counter-intuitive to me...

Jeff, if you live inside their bubble, it all makes perfect sense.

I answered this in "Not Enough Evidence."

Oh, and TAM, I started to tune him out as soon as I head the ridiculous comment about "infinite amount of suffering." There's no such thing. Suffering isn't cumulative. No one suffers more than any one individual. As well, for him to say something like, 'God hasn't made any attempt to spare these souls,' well, it makes me wonder how you can be so gullible.
