Atheists and Intimate Details

Ah, atheists - sometimes you just gotta love em. On atheist blogs the debate continues over whether to identify themselves as “People who don’t believe in God,” OR “Non believers in God.” They sometimes throw in fairies and leprechauns and Zeus for comic effect but everyone knows, including atheists, who they’re really talking about. To make their point, atheists joke at how ridiculous it would be to have a special name for people who don’t play golf. What they miss is the exponential increase in the level of farce it would be, as atheists in reality do, to debate LITERALLY for years on end as to whether they should call themselves “People who don’t play golf,” OR “Non players of golf.” This type of thinking seems to be the result of having an endless fascination with self. Yet the goofiness goes on.

In a yet to be discovered connection to the Prop 8 fiasco in California, atheist blogger vjack is taking it to the street and leading a charge whereby he and his friends will frantically demand that Christians from across the nation (around the world?) immediately begin to take non players of golf seriously.

Ya, we’ll get right on that.

Does the foolishness end there? We wish. Atheists, these people who deny the existence of Creator God can describe in intimate detail the God they don’t believe in. They can describe His shortcomings and failings. They can tell you how they would have done a better job if they had been God. Atheists take Theologians to task for not understanding God properly - yes that’s right, the God they don’t believe in. Atheists even have pet names for the God they don’t believe in, and those names range all the way from the mundane “asshole” to the rather exotic (for an atheist) “fucked up schizophrenic.” I’m told that for those who attend atheist conferences, that any first year atheist who can recite by heart Richard Dawkins’ 19 point description of Creator God (the one HE doesn’t believe in) from The God Delusion, will get 5% off the price of their hotel room.

Atheists, the people who don’t need God to be nice people, and the ones who say about Christians, "They feel uneducated, which they are; often rather stupid, which they are; inferior, which they are; and paranoid about pointy-headed intellectuals from the East Coast looking down on them, which, with some justification, they do."

What are you going to do with them? Sometimes you just gotta love em.

If I accept the existence of your Creator, why should I believe that he/she/it is infinitely good and not infinitely evil? See: http://stephenlaw.blogspot.com/2007/03/god-of-eth.html

More importantly, why did your God see it necessary to creat evil? See Isaiah 45:7. Are we just sport?

Are you saying that anything that smacks of effort or discomfort is evil?

Just as there cannot be the perception of up without a down, in without an out, hot without cold and light without darkness, there cannot be Love without evil. This is a spiritual reality or law.
When it cost Jesus His life via being tortured to death, this is hardly sport. It's deadly serious.

God's use of evil is simply the best way of providing you with choice.
